Happy Birthday to my Hubby...
Well, not exactly today. His actual birthday was a couple days ago, on May 15th. I am a little behind in posting :) I wanted to share with you the card I made for him. I embellished the front with the colorful random-striped wrapping paper I used to wrap his gift. I used a heart-shaped die-cutter to punch out the shape. I then stamped "Happy Birthday" to finish off the look. It is a flat card, kinda like a post-card. I used washi-tape in coordinating colors to adhere the linen-textured blank sheet on the back. This is where I wrote my special message. I coordinated the card with a purple envelope, color taken from one of the wrapping paper stripes. I also used a scalloped circle die to punch out the envelope seal. Check out the pics. What do you think?

I used turquoise-green and light orange colored washi tape for the message area. |

Happy Mother's Day...
Happy Mother's Day to all the lovely mom's out there!
I got to spend the holiday with my Mom a day early. She came over and we had a wonderful family day. I made her a card (of-course!), gave her a lovely bouquet of hydrangeas (her favorite flower) and also a dozen colorful French Macaroons. They came in a basic plastic container so I went ahead and spruced that up with my lovely paper and punch selections! These sweets are a rare find where I live, thankfully my hubby found some near his work for me :)
It was a lovely day and I hope she enjoyed it as much as I did.
What did you do to celebrate?

Gifted Cards...
Being a card-maker, I can't avoid going to my studio when a friend or family's special occasion is coming up. Here is a recent collection of cards I made that I then gifted. I put a lot of thought into my designs. It's always fun to create when you know who the end-user is going to be. This way, I can personalize the card's theme to match their particular style. Check out the pictures, some of them you will recognize from past posts. I will periodically post more gifted designs as they come up, so stay tuned!
