Color Color Color...

I've been spending some time trying to come up with new ideas for cards. I love color and I want to use more of it soon. I already started with the last birthday card I posted, inspired by Tangerine Tango. I wanted to share with you one source of my inspiration. Pantone. I am planning dedicate one design to each color. Stay tuned for the designs to come!!

The images below show Pantone's color trend reports for 2012.

Introducing KolorKraft...

Here are some of my premier creations for the KolorKraft series. More designs are on the way so stay tuned!

These card designs implement a subtle rustic quality with pops of pure color featuring Japanese papers to tie it all together! There's some added "bling" for a bit of sparkle. Lined with newsprint and left blank inside, let these cards be the vehicle to write your own personal message to that special someone. The cards are one-of-a-kind, sold as individual ensembles with matching envelope and coordinating envelope seal to add a special finishing touch.

Enjoy!

Birthday Card...

This past week, I celebrated a close friend's birthday. She loves girly things like makeup so naturally, I went to Sephora to see what they had. As I walked in, the display at the entry immediately got my attention. They have launched a new collection of makeup and tools from Pantone's color of the year Tangerine Tango! I immediately knew that I wanted to get something from this collection for her. I picked up the lipgloss package. I knew my friend would love this because the colors were bold and set included 4 variations of the color.
When it was time to make her card, the product packaging inspired me. I decided to use the citrusy color scheme and incorporate it in my design. Japanese Unryu paper in an orange tone was utilized for a contrast in texture. This card design is from my KolorKraft Series.
